You can't avoid the banana plant here on La Palma!

And what wonders it reveals to us when we take a closer look! 

From the earthy ochre and brown of the stalk, lush green leaves grow, followed by green to yellow fruit stalks until they explode into red and purple when in bloom. Round and fringed huge leaves, regularly arranged elongated bananas to round convex bright banana blossoms.

We are going on a banana expedition! Explore this wonder of contrasting colour and form with paint, pen and paper.

 

At the beginning, we will approach the topic with various unconventional drawing exercises, then create our own works and reward ourselves with the pleasure of the banana afterwards!

 

Recommended for beginners and advanced students.
